In celebration, we found the only Sonic on Long Island (I've yet to meet someone who has actually been there). Cherry limeades were calling our name and they tasted so good. We had a picnic lunch and then met some friends to play tennis.
As always, I am so proud of these kids. We had a great year! We are finished with 10th, 7th and 5th grade!
We've had Maya for 7 years and have always talked about getting her genetically tested to see what she actually is, but never wanted to shell out the money. We've been telling people all along that she's a whippet mix and thought maybe she had a little greyhound in her. Well, for my birthday, Ben got me a kit to finally get Maya tested! We were all so excited...it was like our very own gender reveal party.
The dog that gets more attention than any animal should:
I am flabbergasted at the results and am still in shock. I don't even know what to tell people she is now...a mutt to the max, that's for sure. Ben says she's an "American village dog".
WHAT?!?!? 24 breeds! A german shepherd, chihuahua? No. Just no. And not even an ounce of whippet or greyhound.
Fun fact: 4 of Maya's relatives live in Arizona!
She truly is one of a kind and fits our family perfectly. She has her routine with each one of us throughout the day, including her 1 bite of cereal from Eli at night time. Her results should read: SPOILED
