Trip to San Diego-Sea World!

Our third trip to Sea World is in the books!

We always start at the Explorer's Reef:

These little fish eat the dead skin off your hand.  It's like a fun exfoliant!

Then around the park we went!

Watching the sharks:

In the arctic

In front of the penguins.

The dolphin show was closed, but we were able to see the orca show!  This is the first time we've seen the orca's and it did not disappoint.

After the show, Eli, Alison and I rode the rapids ride.  Poor Eli got soaked!

Ben and Eli rode this spinning ride
And we got cotton candy by the sting rays.

Again, we always end in Sesame Street land.  Colin did some jumping and climbing and then we got Dip N' Dots.

That night, we picked up Chick-fil-A for the kids and got settled in the hotel. Then, Ben and I went to a sunset dinner on the water. It was perfection!

Pumpkin farm!

My friend, Brittany and I took our boys to the pumpkin farm.  There was so much to do, we could have spent the whole day there!

First they played on the combine/slide

and then played on the hay bales.

Then they all took a bee ride around the farm.

More slides...

And lots of pumpkining.

We took a tractor ride out to the corn maze.

Thomas and Colin

The boys did a great job navigating us through the corn maze!

Then they rode "go carts"...that's what they were called but you had to peddle them, which was very hard on the sand.

After a snack, it was time to load up our wheelbarrow with pumpkins!

We had such a fun day with friends!

Eli and Maya

Park days

Our day at camp sparked a new love for being outside, something I am very thankful for.  The boys have asked to take Maya for a walk every day and we end up playing at the park for a long time.  Also thankful that Eli is now strong enough to handle walking Maya...he does such a good job.

Their favorite thing to do is come up with obstacle courses and see who can make it through the fastest.  Maya sits there and whines in worry about them running around...or about any dog walking by.

They also uncovered our bow and single arrow we have left and have been practicing in the yard.

Yesterday, we went to the park twice!  Thomas invited us to meet him there in the afternoon and then we went to his house for a little bit.  Colin asked to run home...

Day at camp

We went to a day at camp up in Santa Barbara with our homeschool group.  It was a beautiful day up in the mountains!

We started off at the ropes course.

Then we tie dyed shirts.

And played "throw cheese balls at someone's head covered in shaving cream".

After lunch, we did archery and shot BB guns.

Then we went swimming.

Then the kids did a slip N' slide.

The boys played ga ga ball

And Alison joined the teens in another round of the cheeseball game.

We ended our fun filled day with songs and a little lesson.

Catching up

Colin got a fancy haircut!

Maya had a check up.  She needed her whole pack there to get her through.

Colin counted down the days until the first day of fall.  When the day finally came, he begged me to get out all the decorations and put them all up himself.  Fall is his favorite!

Ben and I went to concert in Santa Barbara with some friends from church.

We reactivated our membership to Dojo..which is now Defy.  This week, the boys and I went while Alison was at volleyball.
