We finished up our school year at the perfect time; the day before the White's came to visit! They came for the weekend and it was the perfect way to celebrate.
They got here Friday around lunch and we spent the afternoon outside talking and playing. The evening looked like this:
Boys playing Ribbon Ninja and Super Mario.
Saturday, Brian went with Ben on a big hike (part of his Mt. Whitney training) and Laurel and I took the kids to the beach.
We all met up for dinner and made root bear floats for dessert.
Sunday morning, we went to our church's outside service.
The weekend went by too fast. I want to say that we'll go see the White's soon, but it's 113 there...so I think I'll just find a way to bribe them back here. It was certainly refreshing for us all to have time with good friends.
