Long Island summer fun

We've had a couple of fun days with the Nieves'.
First, they invited us to swim at the marina pool.  Kristyn's mom lives on a boat during the summer and we had a fun afternoon swimming, paddle boarding and feeding ducks.

On our way home, we stopped by Ralph's.  If you say Ralph's in our family, we immediately think it's a grocery store.  But on Long Island, it's a summer time staple.  Apparently, it's Italian ice, but honestly, we were so confused by the menu we had no idea how to order.  We tried.

Then we spent the day at Jone's Beach.  Kristyn's mom is the coolest and is a lifeguard legend.  She gets VIP privileges at Field 4 and lets us come into the blocked off area.

Hannah, Ariel and Christiana are identical triplets.  I've had them in co-op and Sunday School classes and I've tried everything I can, but I cannot tell Hannah and Ariel apart!  It drives me crazy.  So, I believe that Hannah and Eli had a great time swimming in the waves, while Colin and Ariel stayed drier, but I could be completely wrong about that.  Christiana has a very special story.  She was born with half a heart, but you would never know from how much love comes from this girl.
Eli buried us and she giggled the whole time.

Ben and I were finally able to go paddle boarding with the Farkas's.  We've been talking about it for way too long.  It took getting up very early on a Sunday morning to make it happen.  Fun Long Island fact: if we had arrived at the parking lot 30 minutes later, we would have had to pay $75!  There's a permit and fee for everything.
