Hawaii, Day 3

Alison and I treated ourselves to facials at the hotel spa.  We've never had facials before and decided it would be fun to try something new.  We knew right away that it was the best decision...I have never been so relaxed in my life.  Post facial bliss:

This was the day of dead ends, but my post facial relaxation helped ease the days worries.
We walked to the farmer's market, but it was closed.

Then we drove to a beach that is supposed to be the best for snorkeling with sea turtles, but it also was closed for "coral spawning".  So, we drove to a different spot that Ben and I discovered on our run.  We thought the boys would want to spend hours climbing on the lava rocks, but they were done after 5 minutes.

The kids would have been happy just swimming at the pool all day, so that's where we headed.  Alison tried the elote corn and Ben snorkeled some in the cove by our hotel.

We had some pretty fantastic food on this trip.  We went for pizza this night and while we were waiting for it, we walked over to a running shop.  I was thinking about getting a running tank, when the employer told me the shop was closing...a lot of places closed at 4 or 5pm!  It was actually pretty hard to find places to eat dinner because everything closed so early.  One evening Alison and I went to find some ice cream and everything was closed.  It was definitely a mystery of the trip.

Post dinner walk:

We tried to catch the end of the hotel Luau, but were too late.

I swear, facials are even more relaxing than massages. It's magic.
