Falloween Party / We have a house!

It was a family effort to pull this week off.  It was our last week of school before a very long break, we hosted a party AND I made a trip to California to see our new home.   Ben stayed home with the kids, did some school with them, cleaned the house and made the most amazing pot of chili.  I got an afternoon in California to check out our new neighborhood, take measurements of the house (to figure out what will actually fit in the house), walked around the mall and watched too much HGTV in my very own hotel room on the beach.

The morning of Halloween, I had to finalize some details on the house and then made the trek back home, making it back just in time for the party.  Ben and the kids had worked so hard on setting things up and it was a great evening!

Three families from church came over and we had chili and white chicken chili for dinner.  Then the parents took turns taking the kids out trick-or-treating and the rest would hang out around the fire pit and pass out candy.

Colin looks so small here, but he really is growing.

Dorothy, a ninja and police man with mysterious red face paint.

Laurel and I were brave enough to take the first round of trick-or-treating.  10 kids in a crowded neighborhood in the dark is no joke!

When everyone was back, the kids helped pass out candy.
