We've discovered the wonderful world of eating outside with kids. Ben is not a huge fan of outdoor eating, but has come to love it this summer. Why? Because you don't have to worry about dropped food or noise levels or energetic kids who don't want to stay in their chair. These pictures were taken right outside Jimmy John's...while Ben was getting a couple of quick sandwiches, the kids and I were smelling the flowers (well, Eli was pretending to be Darth Vador, hence why he's not in the picture).
Alison has been waking up every night at 12:30 for no reason and unable to fall back asleep. A friend suggested having her listen to soothing music, so I broke out an old ipod I used when she was a baby that has only lullabies on it. I didn't think it was that old, but the kids were completely fascinated with the novelty of it. They sat and listened to baby music together for a long time!
P.S. When you are with this little stinker, you can't help but be full of joy.
