Celebrating Ben's birthday has gone nothing like I planned, but I hope he still knows how much Alison and I love and cherish him. We enjoyed some carrot cake last night and Ben humored Alison by blowing out a few candles she put in the cake for him. It was sweet hearing her sing to him though.
