Ben was a contestant in the ships' talent show. He sang an original song he wrote and had some of the band members as back up. I sure wish I could have been there to hear him!
Ha! It was fun having the Navy band play with me. Oddly enough they messed up the song. The guitar player got lost and skipped a section, but he got back on track.
I was the only who did an original, it's hard to compete with people doing covers with the navy band (who is great) backing them up. I did have one of the judges vote for me for first though ;P
P.S. my mustache is very hipster now. I just need a sweater vest. It goes great with my tobacco pipe which I smoke on the ship. Now if I can only find some brussel sprouts to eat...
